This picture gives you a good idea of all the work it takes to complete a project like this. Look at all the "stuff" around on the ground. Also, a good part of the construction was done in the rain. The statue was brought in in pieces, and assembled on-site. The parts all fit together flawlessly (is that a word???), that is, there were no issues associated with the parts matching up. Also, the assembly of the modular units of the statue was all done in about 4 HOURS ( ! ) and WITHOUT any professionals ( steelworkers, etc.).
